Learning can get really hard sometimes, so I tutor to help students from feeling hopeless about their education
I had a student that preferred not being guided through every questions, so our tutoring sessions were often her working through her problems and me watching her to point out any mistakes while she worked.
My specific skills include breaking concepts down as much as necessary to help students grasp them, and fitting them into the bigger picture of real life applications.
For me it would be an environment that encourage questions. Kids cam be very shy or embarrassed about what they don't know, so as a coach it's my job to make the environmental comfortable enough for them to rely on me for help.
In my educational journey I've often experienced hopelessness at my lack of understanding I'm certain concepts, so being a mentor that can prevent that feeling and the mental block that comes with it is really important to me
