Why do I tutor?

My love for tutoring comes from mentoring my younger sister and seeing firsthand how guidance and encouragement can make a difference in a persons life. I strive to provide that same supportive and confidence-building experience to every student I tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I tutor a middle school student in math, and we quickly bonded over our shared love of volleyball. This helped build trust and confidence, and I’ve helped her improve not only academically but also as a more confident student and teammate.

Tutoring Style

I am a patient and calm tutor. I prioritize mentorship alongside academic support. I enjoy guiding students not only through material, but also through planning, organization, and confidence-building. My goal is to help students feel supported, capable, and motivated.

Positive Learning Environment

A positive learning environment is inclusive and encouraging, and students should feel comfortable being themselves. I aim to foster openness, mutual respect, and confidence with my students, allowing them to ask questions freely and without fear of judgment.

Importance of Being a Mentor

Being a mentor means providing guidance, encouragement, and support beyond academics.
