Why do I tutor?

I’ve been passionate about tutoring since college, and I genuinely love helping students learn and grow. Watching students build confidence and achieve their goals is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Tutoring Experience

I once worked with a student in my AP Biology class who came in with very little background in the subject but was determined to take the AP exam. Although he started as the least experienced student in the class, he had an incredibly positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn. I spent time working closely with him, answering questions and building his understanding step by step. In the end, he earned a 5 on the AP exam and even reached out afterward to thank me, which was incredibly rewarding.

Tutoring Style

I bring an interactive and creative approach to tutoring, using relatable examples, fun games, and a broad range of knowledge to keep learning engaging and enjoyable.

Positive Learning Environment

A positive learning environment that fosters my 4 c's: conversation, competition, comfort, and curiosity. By combining these aspects tutors and students can work together towards a goal rather than it being impinged upon the student.

Importance of Being a Mentor

Every student is unique, with their own goals and aspirations. To me, being a mentor means understanding those individual goals and guiding each student along a path that helps them realistically and confidently achieve them.
